I would love to visit your school!
I’m grateful to bring my years of coaching experience to make my school visits as fun and engaging as possible. My interactive 45 minute presentation/storytelling workshop has been a hit at all the schools I’ve had the pleasure of visiting, and I’d love to bring it to your school!
In the first 15 minutes of the workshop, I tell the wild, up-and-down story of the creation of Operation: Cover-Up, using illustrated, cartoony slides (see examples below). The rest of the time is spent getting kids to tell their own stories with a packet I created called Operation: Make a Story. I emphasize the basic elements of plot structure—main character, motivation, and obstacles—and encourage kids to let their imaginations run wild, and above all, have fun!

I offer the presentation/workshop to groups as large as 150, and it is designed for elementary school-age kids.
So far, I’ve had the joy of visiting the following schools:
Glenwood Elementary, Woods Charter School, Mary Scroggs Elementary, New Horizons Elementary, Friends School of Wilmington, Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill, Carolina Friends School
Each visit has been a blast, and I would love to add your school to the list!
